Long-Term Locum Position At Sunnybrook Hospital: May 1 – Dec 31, 2022
Work in midtown Toronto, in a comfortable family friendly neighbourhood. Close to many amenities the city has to offer including shopping, restaurants, good schools, sporting events, but also adjacent to one of the most beautiful parks and conservation areas. An oasis in the city!
Although this is covering a maternity leave, there is opportunity to stay on longer as a part-time associate, as many others have done. This is a good opportunity if someone is considering academic rheumatology, but also anyone who wants to get their feet wet and have 6 other rheumatologists around to ask for help/any questions.
Note: The division of rheumatology at Sunnybrook is currently using the hospital’s EMR, but may be switching to Accuro.
6 other rheumatologists (3 full time, 3 part-time), 4 support staff. 7 exam rooms. Shared office space. Clinic is located in an academic hospital so there are dedicated MSK radiologists, lab, and our own rheumatology ultrasound. Next door to opthalmologists, plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Mix of outpatient clinics (6 per week) and inpatient rheumatology patients (consulting service) when you are on-call. Opportunity to teach rheumatology and internal medicine residents and medical students.
