Preceptor Bio

Dr. Averns trained and worked in the UK until moving to Canada in 2006 to take up an academic appointment at Queen’s. He moved in to an office in 2014. His interests are in medical education and informatics.

Dr. Averns is currently serving as President of the Ontario Rheumatology Association.

Office Overview

The clinic utilizes a team based approach to rheumatology. 90% of patients have inflammatory disease.

The clinic features 5 exam rooms, 2 ultrasound machines, an infusion suite, and a fully equipped education room.

The office is located downtown, but there is plenty of nearby parking.

Clinic Hours

The office runs Monday to Thursday, 7:45am-4:30pm
